Meagan Saum is your lead BMT Manual Therapist and Company Owner. She is a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist, Cranial Sacral Therapist, Equine & Canine Osteopath (current student of London College of Animal Osteopathy), Relational Horsemanship Coach, Equine Facilitated Wellness Professional as well as a Certified Life & Business Coach (where she incorporates solution focused coaching with mindfulness centered somatic psychology techniques (Hakomi).

Meagan is a momma of 3 wonderful and active kiddos. She is a ranch owner (Silver Valley Ranch) near Madden, AB and a multi-passionate entrepreneur. She loves to hit the trail with her horses, be in nature in any capacity, and has a deep love for learning and educating/mentoring others. She has been an entrepreneur and owned her own business since 2003. The journey of specialized education started in 2001, graduating from the B.C College of Equine Sports Therapy in 2003 with a steady stream of trainings, certifications, and clinics along the way to present day!

Meagan takes the leadership role for our pre-habilitation & rehabilitation programs that happen onsite between the months of March and November for horses needing pre-habilitation & conditioning or rehabilitation post injury or surgery or haul in body work treatments.

Meagan offers mobile equine manual therapy & somatic services to your barn as well as sees equine, canine & human clients at our BMT facility (Silver Valley Ranch) for individual coaching sessions, body work treatments, rehabilitation programming and workshops.

Meet Emma

~ Certified Equine Massage Therapist & Rehabilitation Assistant

Emma Kendall joined the team at Body Mind Therapeutics in 2025 as an Equine Manual Therapist and Rehabilitation Assistant! Emma is a deep thinking, conscientious healer who has an incredible ability to combine her intuition and knowledge into gentle and effective body work treatments.

At an early age Emma was passionate about animals and was always surrounded by her equine and canine friends growing up. She believes the fundamentals of overall equine wellness are rooted in a whole horse approach as she works alongside horse and rider to ensure a strong foundation, rooted in the physical and mental well-being of the horse. Emma is committed to enhancing the equine experience and offering an approach best suited to the needs of the horse. A graduate of the Equine Massage Therapy program at Olds College; Emma also has a background in somatics stemming from her yoga & pilates training which can be applied case by case. 

Additionally, Emma is working towards her Equine Osteopathy designation at The Vluggen Institute in Waldfeucht, Germany. She is well versed in the application of her knowledge, constantly striving to improve and expand her scope of practice. Emma is passionate about her horses, the equine community and of course her big old dog Jed who has been along for the ride since the first day back at school.

Meet Daina

~ Therapy Assistant & Horsemanship Instructor

Daina Polsom is a guiding light for BMT, sharing her kindness, quarkyness and epic positive mindset with the team and the clients of BMT equine, canine and human alike. Daina is our Therapy Assistant & Beginner Horsemanship Instructor , holding a key support role, taking care of the herd at the ranch for Meagan when needed, BMT approved product sales and distribution, administration and assisting Meagan, the team, or our collaborating professionals/student therapists with horse handling, rehabilitative conditioning, red light sessions, intake assessment documentation, social media and home care plans.

Daina has in depth experience with the battle of long term illness and the challenges that come along within the recovery process. She has recently conquered a kidney transplant! Daina loves horses, healing and has a passion for making other peoples lives feel easier, supporting in areas that she is skilled in to bring them more confidence & happiness. This is why she is a perfect team member for Body Mind Therapeutics. Daina along with her husband Kris and daughter Cherie are avid mountain enthusiasts, musicians, fisherman, horse lovers and adventurers. Daina has loved horses since she was a little girl and has her own member of the herd that lives at Meagan’s Ranch, a 17 year old QH named Russell.

Meet Darlene

~ Ranch Coordinator & Administrative Assistant

Darlene Rochow has a work ethic, only to be admired by the rest of the team as she keeps us all in tip top organizational shape! Dar is a fun, loving, passion driven, huge hearted, wonderful soul that has a plethora of experience in equine facility management, business administration, and coordination amongst many other skillsets. Dar is also a volunteer super hero who loves to give the gift of giving and if she’s not putting in sweat equity at the ranch or time at her other day job, you may find her at her senior neighbors house taking care of the yard, house or odds and ends just to make their day brighter or possibly on a good Samaritans volunteer mission as a support role in a crisis/natural disaster situation.

Darlene is our Ranch Coordinator & Administrative Assistant, she is multifaceted in her roles at BMT from taking care of the herd at the ranch for Meagan, BMT communications, client relationship support, invoicing, administration and all things organization for the team and the ranch!

Dar has a deep love for animals and has her own member of the herd that lives at Meagan’s Ranch, her beautiful black dragon lady (QH mare) named Echo.
